NDIS Payments

However your NDIS plan is managed, we want getting the right mobility aid to be the easy part. This page explains how NDIS payments work with Oz Mobility Store, what we can offer depending on your plan, and what we'll need from you to get a quote or invoice moving.

Which NDIS participants can order from us

Oz Mobility Store isn't an NDIS-registered provider, which affects who can pay us directly through their plan:

  • Self-managed — yes. You can order directly, pay by card at checkout (or by invoice), and claim the cost back yourself through the myplace portal using your Oz Mobility Store tax invoice.
  • Plan-managed — yes. We'll send a formal invoice to your Plan Manager, who pays it from your plan on your behalf. You don't need to pay upfront.
  • NDIA-managed (Agency-managed) — not directly. The NDIA only pays registered providers for agency-managed funds. If this is you, let us know via the form below anyway — we're happy to point you toward a registered supplier, or you can check with your Support Coordinator whether the relevant budget (for example, Consumables or Low-Cost Assistive Technology) can be self- or plan-managed instead.

How the invoice option works

  1. Tell us what you need. Fill in the request form below with the product(s) you're after and how your plan is managed. No account or login needed.
  2. We prepare your quote or invoice. We'll confirm pricing, stock and delivery, then send a proper tax invoice — addressed to you (self-managed) or straight to your Plan Manager (plan-managed) — usually within one business day.
  3. Payment is arranged. Your Plan Manager pays the invoice directly from your plan, or if you're self-managed, you can pay by card via the secure link on the invoice, or by bank transfer.
  4. We dispatch your order. Once payment is confirmed, your order ships the same way as any other Oz Mobility Store purchase — currently in stock items ship within 3 business days.

What we'll need from you

Having this ready when you reach out speeds things up considerably:

  • Your full name and contact details
  • Your NDIS participant number (helpful, not always essential for a quote)
  • How your plan is managed — self-managed, plan-managed, or NDIA-managed
  • If plan-managed: your Plan Manager's business name and invoice email
  • The product(s) you're after, or a link to the item on our site
  • Your delivery suburb and postcode

Common questions

Do I need a quote before I can buy?
Not always. Many of our low-cost items are under the $1,500 threshold and often don't need a quote. Some items, such as bed trapeze bars, stair chairs, bathroom equipment or mobility scooters, may need advice from your OT or Support Coordinator, so please check what applies to your plan before ordering. A written quote is useful if your Plan Manager or the NDIA needs to review the purchase first, or if you'd simply like a formal price confirmation before committing.

Can I still just buy normally through the website?
Yes — self-managed participants are welcome to check out directly like any other customer and use the emailed tax invoice for their own NDIS claim. The request form is for anyone who'd rather we handle the invoice and paperwork first, or whose Plan Manager needs to pay us directly.

How long does payment take once the invoice is sent?
Most Plan Managers process invoices within 5–10 business days. We'll hold your order for a reasonable period while payment is arranged — just let us know if you need something urgent.

Is my information kept private?
Yes. Details you share are used only to prepare your order and invoice, and are handled the same way as any other customer information.
