Oz Mobility Store is an Australian-owned supplier of mobility aids and daily living equipment, based on the Gold Coast, Queensland — wheelchairs, mobility scooters, walking aids, bathroom safety equipment, and the everyday products that help people move through their day with a bit more confidence and independence.

We work with NDIS participants, aged care residents, people recovering from injury or surgery, carers, and families — basically anyone who needs the right equipment without the runaround.

Why we started

Oz Mobility Store was founded by Rob Matamu, who was born with cerebral palsy and has direct, lived experience with purchasing and using mobility aids — both for himself and, over the years, alongside families of loved ones with disability. That personal experience is matched by real professional depth: Rob has worked closely with allied health professionals, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, support coordinators, plan managers, public guardians, and public trustees, and is deeply familiar with how NDIS processes actually work across the sector.

That combination is what shapes how we run this store. Buying a wheelchair, a mobility scooter, or a piece of daily living equipment isn't just a transaction — it affects someone's independence and daily life, whether it's for themselves or someone they care for.
